GENERAL INFORMATION

About the SCHOOL

The "Illuminating Neurobiology: Fluorescent Techniques in Neuron and Glia 2D Cultures" school is a seven-day program for undergraduates, Master’s, and early PhD students interested in neurobiology. It offers comprehensive training in neuron and glia cell culture and fluorescent analysis techniques. Participants will gain hands-on experience in immunocytochemical staining, confocal imaging, live calcium imaging, and quantitative analysis, guided by field experts.

The curriculum includes lectures and workshops on fluorescence imaging, viral vector transduction, GFP visualization, and calcium imaging data analysis using MATLAB. Students will also explore machine learning applications in fluorescence microscopy. This program fosters collaboration, networking, and skill-building, empowering participants to advance in vitro neurobiology research and innovation.

Workshop & Lectures Venue

School will be held at Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade  - Studentski trg 16, Belgrade, Serbia. Lectures and practical course will take place at Institute of Physiology and Biochemistry.
